Manila Skies by Raymond Red

Film #1 at the BFI London Film Festival

Manila Skies

About Raul who treads the edge of breakdown and madness.

An old story about the boy from the village who becomes a man in the Filipino city.

About a man who twists from vise to vise, in the grip of many hungers... for food, jobs, woman, home. Stunned by the results of a heist in which he's a mute spectator, Raul decides to return home to his ailing father in the island of Ramblon... how he does it would have been comic if it hadn't been tragic.
